Job Summary

The Laboratory Technician will assist with various aspects of laboratory and field research, including analysis of rock samples using a variety of analytical methods.

Essential Job Duties

• Maintenance of lab supplies and cleanliness.
• Laboratory sample prep for XRF and LA-ICPMS analyses.
• Electron microprobe analysis.
• Mineral separation.
• Assistance with field-based pXRF and pLIBS analyses.
• Data reduction and analysis.

Basic Qualifications

• Completed undergraduate coursework in geology, mineralogy, and igneous petrology.
• Coding capabilities (Python or MATLAB, preferred).
• Ability to work outdoors and perform fieldwork.
