Job summary

Protouch Staffing in Kapolei, HI is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join a clinical laboratory team. New graduates are welcome; the role involves receiving, preparing, and testing patient specimens with LCMS and routine analyzers.

You will ensure QC/QA, document results, maintain instruments, and comply with CLIA, CAP, COLA and state regulations. Hawaii license eligibility required.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
• MT, MLS, CLS, or MLT certification required.
• Hawaii State Laboratory Technologist/Technician license (or eligibility to obtain) required.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.
• Minimum 1 year of LCMS, toxicology, chemistry, or clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• Experience with LCMS instrumentation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, accession, organize, and prepare patient specimens for laboratory testing
• Perform quantitative and qualitative laboratory testing using LCMS and analyzer systems
• Analyze, document, and report laboratory test results accurately and efficiently
• Monitor and maintain Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) procedures
• Perform instrument calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Maintain laboratory equipment, inventory, and supplies
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, COLA, and applicable state and federal regulations
• Assist with laboratory workflow, inspections, and operational efficiency
• Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and records
• Collaborate with laboratory staff to deliver timely, high-quality patient testing services

Job Overview

The individual will be responsible for receiving, organizing, preparing, and testing patient specimens while maintaining the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience with LCMS and laboratory instrumentation; however, new graduates with MT, MLS, CLS, or MLT certification are encouraged to apply.
