Job summary

The Fountain Group in Coralville, IA is seeking a laboratory technician to purify oligos and prepare samples for quality control. You will use gel electrophoresis and desalting methods while handling automated and manual lab equipment.

The role offers $22.35 per hour, Monday–Friday 11am–7:30pm, for 6+ month duration, with responsibilities in QC data assessment and decision-making for purification outcomes.

Qualifications

Job description

Pay: $22.35/Hour

Shift: M-F 11am-7:30pm

Durations: 6+ months

Overview:

• Performs the purification of oligos using various techniques
• Quantifies and samples oligos for quality control tests
• Demonstrates behavior consistent with the Integrated DNA Technologies Core Values
• Uses custom software packages to complete tasks and create final product
• Sorts oligos for the proper purification either by hand or using software
• Uses automated and manual lab equipment including limited maintenance and troubleshooting activities
• Assesses QC data accurately and makes pass/fail decisions for oligos
• Troubleshoots oligo failures and makes thoughtful sorting and purification decisions
