Job summary

Lactalis American Group in Buffalo, NY is hiring a Laboratory Technician to join our FDA-conscious food science team. You will perform analytical tests on dairy products, support sample handling, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure accurate results.

You will help maintain GMP and Good Sanitation Practices, assist with routine cleaning of equipment, and monitor reagents to keep the lab running smoothly. This role offers growth within a global dairy leader.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical tests to evaluate products (Fat, Moisture, Calcium, Salt, Protein).
• Sample and coordinate external lab testing for chemistry and microbiology; report results clearly.
• Carry out daily/weekly/monthly cleaning of equipment and lab area; monitor reagents.
• Work closely with laboratory staff and ensure GMP and GSP compliance.

Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Laboratory Technician based in Buffalo, NY.

From your STORY to ours

• Perform all analytical tests to properly evaluate each product provided to the laboratory. Testing to include, but is not limited to Fat, Moisture, Calcium, Salt, Protein.
• Sample and provide assistance to have samples tested, when required, at an outside lab for chemistry and microbiology. Provide all analytical data results to Lab Manager and or/Project Manager in an organized and clear format. Carry out daily, weekly and monthly cleaning of analytical equipment and laboratory area. Monitor chemical reagents and notify Lab Manager when supplies are running low.
• Work closely with laboratory staff.
• Provide technical assistance as needed for Aware of and practice Plant's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as well as Good Sanitation Practices (GSP).
