Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused team member to accession and process specimens from inpatient and outreach clients. The role includes registering outreach/inhouse patients with insurance, dx codes and demographics, and providing proactive customer service via phone, fax or printer on test status and results.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma and at least 1 year of related laboratory or customer service experience, with strong typing skills

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year in related laboratory or customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact with patients, staff, physician offices, etc.
• Ability to set priorities, multi-task and detail oriented.
• Good typing skills.

Responsibilities

• Accession and process specimens from inpatient and outreach clients and register outreach/inhouse patients with insurance, dx codes and demographics.
• Provide customer service via phone, fax or printer regarding test status, results or specimen requirements.
