Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor in Lime Spring, IA to lead a team of technicians and oversee bench testing and lab operations. The role requires coordinating sample registration, processing, and timely results for a testing client.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in a lab, strong leadership, and experience interfacing with customers. Food testing exposure is a plus. This is a full-time on-site position in Lime Spring, Iowa.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or BS degree in a relative science field.
• 5+ years of experience in a laboratory setting
• Exposure to lab operations & procedures such as managing laboratory inventory, schedule workflow, organization, vendor management, lead lab personnel, etc.
• Interpersonal skills to be able to interface with the customer.
• Plus: People leadership or supervisory experience in a lab environment.
• Plus: Experience in a food testing laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for a wide range of operational tasks and bench testing areas of the lab including but not limited to:
• Operational:
• Managing audits
• Scheduling & timekeeping for team of technicians (1)
• Interfacing or necessary troubleshooting with the customer
• Assist on the bench with sample registration & processing, PCR, plating, media, lab organization, etc., to ensure testing & results are hitting deadlines of the client.

Insight Global is looking to hire a Laboratory Supervisor for a testing client of ours in the Lime Spring, IA area. Below are general responsibilities.
