Job summary

Labcorp Oklahoma is seeking a Specimen Accessioner/Processor in Tulsa, OK. The role supports specimen handling, labeling, data entry, and shipment to testing facilities, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

The position operates on the 2nd shift (Tuesday–Saturday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM) with a shift differential. Prior Labcorp experience and healthcare exposure are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in a lab or specimen processing is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to pass a color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to staging areas.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens to testing facilities.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples.
• Data entry of patient information in a timely manner.
• Resolve and document any problem specimens.

LabCorp is seeking a Specimen Accessioner/Processor to join our team at LabCorp Oklahoma in Tulsa, OK.

Work Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 3pm - 1130pm. 2nd Shift differential.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas
• Accurately identify and label specimens
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
• Meet department activity and production goals
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Resolve and document any problem specimens

Minimum Qualification

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Preferred Qualification

• Current or prior Labcorp experience
• 1 year or more of experience in a lab or specimen processing
• 1 year or more of experience in a medical/clinical laboratory environment
• 1 year or more of experience in the healthcare industry, such as a physician's office, clinic or hospital
• 1 year of experience in an assembly or manufacturing production environment
