Job summary

Responsibilities

• Supervises technologists, reviews preliminary results, monitors reports and initiates deviation investigations.
• Assists in resolution of test result discrepancies and proficiency testing.
• Manages purchase, requisition, and maintenance of lab supplies.
• Oversees orientation, training, and competency evaluation of personnel.
• Assists with scheduling of clinical laboratory staff.
• Performs activities related to quality assurance, licensure, or certification.
• Interviews, hires, evaluates, counsels, and disciplines subordinate employees.
• Contributes to departmental policies on employee health exposures and biosafety.
