Qualifications

• Two years as a Chemist 4 or equivalent
• Six years of professional environmental laboratory analysis experience including two years in supervisory roles and a chemistry-related bachelor’s degree with 30 college credits
• Equivalent combination of experience and training including two years of supervisory experience and 30 college credits in chemistry/biochemistry or related field

Responsibilities

• Manage technical services operational activities including quality assurance, safety programs, and cross training of staff
• Direct work of laboratory staff to support shifting workloads and oversee external laboratories and inventory
• Use data driven techniques to determine staffing needs, track quality assurance, and provide operational support
• Ensure accurate data entry and adherence to accreditation and state regulatory standards
