Job summary

Eurofins seeks a Laboratory Associate to unpack environmental samples, log temperatures, and organize materials for lab processing. You will ensure samples match client paperwork, transport items within the facility, and assist with registration and bottle preparation while adhering to SOPs and safety rules.

The role requires a high school diploma, English proficiency, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Availability on multiple shifts in the US is expected.

Responsibilities

• Unpack environmental samples and record receipt conditions.
• Document discrepancies and organize samples by project.
• Transport carts of samples within the lab, including elevators.
• Record temperatures and communicate issues to Sample Registration.
• Follow SOPs and safety procedures; assist in sample/bottle prep as needed.

Job Description

Position Summary:

Unpacking environmental samples received at the laboratory; recording temperature of samples at receipt; documenting any discrepancies with samples at receipt; organizing samples by project onto carts; transferring samples into the Sample Registration area for entry. Transporting carts of samples to designated areas in the laboratory, including on elevators.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Unpack sample kits and coolers that are received at the lab
• Compare sample containers against client paperwork, documenting any discrepancies, lining up samples on cart according to client paperwork
• Take and record the temperature of all environmental samples and chilled pharmaceutical samples received at the lab
• Inform Sample Registration of projects received above temperature or with excessive damage
• Notify Sample Registration of receipt of short holding time or rush samples when necessaryClean all coolers and kits to be returned to clients or to bottle room, fill out shipping slips for return shipments
• Transporting samples to different locations in the lab as needed, including on elevators
• Read, understand, and carry out SOPs; follow all safety precautions and procedures
• Assist as needed in Sample Registration with labeling, filing, etc.
• Assist as needed in Bottles Prep with preserving or preparing bottle orders
• Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Performs other duties as assigned

Role is available on the following Shifts:

• M-F, 7am-3:30pm
• M-F, 3pm-1130pm
• Tues-Sat, 11pm-7:30am

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Abilityto lift 50 lbs. frequently, and stand/walk for a full shift
• Basic computer skills
• Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction orsponsorship

Ideal Candidates will have:

• 1+ years of related laboratory experience
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writingStrong organizational skills and detail orientation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to stay productive during times of high volumes of incoming samples
• Able to retain large amounts of information

Additional Information

Pay rate:$17.75/hour + 10% shift differential for 2nd or 3rd shift.
