UCLA is seeking a Laboratory Safety Professional to apply technical knowledge to implement and continuously improve safety programs across research, engineering, and clinical environments. You will provide expert consultation on chemical safety and regulatory requirements to faculty, researchers, and staff.

Responsibilities include hazard assessments, safety training, incident investigations, and support for lab safety program development.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2 years professional EH&S experience in a comprehensive program.
• Ability to work in person on campus with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with laboratory safety, chemical hygiene, risk mitigation.

Mansioni

• Develop and implement Research Safety Management Plans.
• Conduct lab hazard assessments and compliance evaluations.
• Develop and deliver safety training.
• Participate in hazardous materials emergency response and incident investigations.
