Job summary

Ocean Beach Health is seeking an Ancillary Services Manager to lead Laboratory and Radiology operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality patient care. You will direct staff, monitor QC/QA, and align department activities with hospital policies, budgets, and long-range plans.

You will supervise day-to-day operations, optimize workflows, manage vendor contracts where applicable, and drive continuous improvement in a rural coastal hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in medical technology or biological sciences required.
• ASCP or AMT certification for Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist and five years of clinical experience required.
• Medical Assistant Phlebotomy License through the Washington State Department of Health.
• 2+ years of Leadership experience, managing, planning, and executing activities including project management, establishing performance metrics, and employee engagement.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills including communication, facilitation, and effective meeting management, agenda development, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Leadership skills to motivate cross-departmental and cross-functional teams' performance towards excellence and develop team concepts and consensus-building management styles.

Responsibilities

• Direct the Laboratory and Radiology Department activities and staff, ensuring quality control and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee budgeting, policies, procedures, and long-range plans for the departments.
• Ensure proper testing competency, proficiency testing, and accurate patient care.
• Maintain chargemaster accuracy and prepare inspection reports; drive staff development and performance improvement.
• Supervise day-to-day operations and mentor cross-departmental teams to meet hospital standards.
