Job summary

LCMC Health in New Orleans seeks a professional to plan and direct education and training for employees and learners. Serves as an advisory liaison for clinical affiliate programs and assists with maintaining departmental policies and procedures.

You will participate in departmental recruitment and orientation of new employees, coordinating quality assurance and quality control activities, and handling administrative responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or educational background sufficient for qualification to sit for Louisiana State Board of Clinical Pathologists’ approved CLS national certification examination.
  • Two years experience as Clinical Laboratory Scientist preferred.
  • Licensure by the State of Louisiana as a Generalist (CLS-G) or Specialist (CLS-S).
  • Good oral, written, organizational and managerial skills.
  • Ability to obtain and interpret clinical information using independent judgment; time management required.

Position Summary

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, and/or fulfillment of the educational requirements necessary for qualification to sit for a Louisiana State Board of Clinical Pathologists’ approved Clinical Laboratory Sciences national certification examination. Preferred:
  • Two years experience as Clinical Laboratory Scientist
  • Licensure by the State of Louisiana as a Generalist (CLS-G) or Specialist (CLS-S)
  • Good oral, written, organizational and managerial skills.
  • Ability to obtain and interpret clinical information utilizing independent judgment. Time management required.
