Job summary

Ridgeview Medical Center in Minnesota seeks a Laboratory Supervisor to provide financial, technical and scientific oversight of the laboratories, including off-site clinics as needed. The role serves as the CLIA Laboratory Director for assigned sites in collaboration with management.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, budgeting, quality improvement, policy compliance, and coordinating with clinic site managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science (MLS) or Medical Technology (MT) with clinic coordination experience.
• Experience in technical supervision of a laboratory testing department.
• Certified as a Medical Laboratory Scientist by ASCP Board of Registry or equivalent per CLIA standards.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct supervision of the Laboratory and supports department goals.
• Oversees staff recruitment, hiring, orientation and performance evaluations.
• Monitors budget and quality improvement to support financial viability.
• Ensures compliance with local, state and federal regulatory standards.
• Oversees Point of Care Testing competency and training with site needs.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science (MLS) or Medical Technology (MT)

Experience in clinic technical coordination of laboratory services

Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist by ASCP Board of Registry or equivalent per CLIA standards
