Job summary

Eurofins PSS Insourcing Solutions is seeking a full-time Lab Technician to support routine laboratory operations across multiple sites in the United States. The role involves maintaining supplies, safe handling of gases and cryogenics, and ensuring GDP-compliant documentation.

The position requires a Life Sciences degree, ability to lift 25 lbs, and the legal right to work in the U.S. with no sponsorship. Regular hours Monday–Friday with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or equivalent experience.
• Must meet physical demands including lifting objects of 25 lbs or more, standing/walking for extended periods.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to commute between sites (<5 miles)

Responsibilities

• Maintain laboratory supplies, reagents inventory and media preparation.
• Safely handle and move compressed gases and cryogenic liquids.
• Clean and monitor BSCs, fume hoods and temperature units.
• Use electronic systems to monitor maintenance and coordinate workflows.
• Manage paper lab notebooks and logs in GDP-compliant manner.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and calibrations.
• Complete safety trainings and re-trainings.
• Support labs across multiple sites.
• Overtime/weekend availability as required.
• Label and organize lab spaces per procedures.

Job Description

• Maintaining laboratory supplies, reagents inventory, and preparation of media
• Safe handling and movement of compressed gases and/or cryogenic liquids.
• Cleaning and monitoring of controlled temperature units, fume hoods, and biological safety cabinets (BSC)
• Use of electronic management and tracking systems for monitoring and documenting routine maintenance and calibration status of laboratory equipment.
• Use of electronic systems to initiate and coordinate workflows between multiple teams/departments
• Management of paper lab notebook and logbook requests, updates, and reconciliation
• Completion of all work and documentation following Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
• Assists in coordination and execution of reoccurring equipment maintenance and calibrations.
• Participates in overtime and weekend schedule as required.
• Cleaning, organization, and labeling of lab spaces in accordance with effective procedures.
• Complete all safety and procedural trainings and re-trainings.
• Complete tasks listed above in laboratory areas that handle potent chemical compounds.
• Support of laboratory area located on multiple sites

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences or equivalent experience.
• Ability to meet physical demands including, but not limited to, routinely lifting objects of 25 lbs. or more, walking and standing for extended periods of time, pushing or pulling carts and equipment and bending down or reaching for supplies.
• Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
• Ability to independently commute between different site locations (< 5 miles between sites)
• Ability to learn new processes, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Additional Information

• Position isfull-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Pay range: $22.50 - $23.50 / hour
