Description:This position requires a Medical Lab Technician to work three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.The role involves performing various laboratory tests and procedures.Candidates must have experience in blood banking procedures and general laboratory skills.Key skills include 24-hour urine analysis, ABO/Rh/antibody screening, and accessioning.Knowledge of automated instrument use and manual differential testing is necessary.The technician will be responsible for patient identification processes and reporting test results.Experience with quality assurance and controls is important.Additional responsibilities include therapeutic drug monitoring, pregnancy testing, and transfusion reaction workup.The technician will occasionally float to other units as required.Adaptability and a willingness to work weekends are essential for this role.All staff must comply with annual training and competency requirements.
