Job summary

California State University, Chico is seeking an Instructional Support Technician to provide materials, supplies, equipment and related logistical support for Earth & Environmental Sciences and Science Education labs. Under supervision, the IST assists both upper and lower division courses, handling materials, equipment, and related tasks as needed.

Preferred candidates will have relevant coursework or an associate/bachelor’s degree and experience supporting instructional programs in earth

Qualifications

• Equivalent to two years of experience providing instructional support services for Earth & Environmental Sciences and/or Science Education, acting as a student assistant, or in producing materials or supplies related to these areas.
• Two years of college with 16 semester units in relevant courses may substitute for one year of experience.
• Four years of college with 16 semester units may substitute for the experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide materials, supplies, equipment and related logistical support for upper and lower division laboratory courses across multiple disciplines.
• Support Earth & Environmental Sciences and Science Education labs with both technical and non-technical equipment and materials.
