GENERAL SUMMARY

Drives a vehicle to pick up, deliver and properly store specimens and other materials. Establishes rapport with clients through timely service and a willingness to answer basic and/or account related questions while on site for pick up or delivery. Follows the proper procedures in conjunction with the established quality control requirements.

PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• *Transports specimens and other materials to various client offices and laboratory sites via automobile.
• *Maintains a log of items received and delivered through the tracking system.
• *Services vehicle driven, such as checking fluid levels and replenishing fuel.

• Refers vehicle service issues to management.
• Must maintain confidentiality of patient and specimen information.
• Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
• Participates in meetings, committees and department projects as assigned.
• Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.
