Cordant Health Solutions is seeking a Part Time Specimen Collections Technician in Rockford, IL to perform specimen collections for drug screens as part of criminal legal system or mental health treatment. You will collect urine, oral fluid, or hair specimens following contractual requirements and observe male participants.

The role requires HS diploma or GED, 1+ year in customer-facing work, and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of experience working directly with customers or patients.
• Experience in healthcare, criminal justice, or similar field preferred.
• Ability to observe collections and collect biological specimens.

Responsibilities

• Collect, log, order, process, and ship urine, oral, and/or hair specimens to the laboratory.
• Maintain organization of the collection site.
• File requisitions, chain of custody forms, and related paperwork.
• Collect and scan insurance information, as applicable.
• Order supplies and maintain inventory at the location.
• Communicate client inquiries to Manager or Client Services.
• All other duties as assigned.

We are seeking a self-motivated Part Time Specimen Collections Technicianto join our Field Operations team in (location).In this role, you will be performing collections for individuals required to complete drug screens as part of their conditions with the criminal legal system or mental health treatment. Our Specialists are responsible for collecting urine, oral fluid (saliva) or hair specimens in accordance with contractual requirements.

This position will involve observation of Male participants and requires aMaleSpecimen Collections Technician.

Pay Rate: $17.00-$17.50

Shift: Tuesday & Thursday: 1pm-7pm, Wednesday: 8am-5pm, Saturday & Sunday: 8:30am-Noon

Primary Responsibilities

• Collect, log, order, process, and ship urine, oral, and/or hair specimens to the laboratory
• Maintain organization of the collection site
• File requisitions, chain of custody forms, and associated paperwork
• Collect and scan insurance, as applicable
• Order Supplies (requisition forms, gloves, collection supplies etc.) and maintain inventory at practice location to ensure collection supplies are always available
• Communicates client inquiries to Manager and/or Client Services team
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED, required
• 1+ year of experience working directly with customers or patients required
• Experience in healthcare, criminal justice, or a similar dynamic field preferred
• Ability to perform observe collections and collect biological specimens, required
• Ability work professionally with no on-site supervision, required
• Strong attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills, required
• Ability to work effectively handling tight deadlines and de-escalating communications with participants in potentially stressful or dynamic situations with no on-site supervision
• Basic computer skills, required
• Light to moderate physical effort (lift/carry up to 25 lbs.), and sitting/standing for long periods of time, required
• Ability to wear scrubs and protective devices (gloves), required
• Ability to stand for log periods of time
• Ability to work in a team setting
• Ability to work with remote supervision
