Job summary

American Crystal Sugar Company in Hillsboro, ND is seeking an entry level Laboratory Bench technician to support factory quality and process control. You will run multiple analyses simultaneously, monitor results, and report findings to plant personnel.

The role requires a high school diploma, ability to obtain lab samples across the plant, good communication, and willingness to work a rotating 12-hour shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must understand how to obtain lab samples from various locations in the factory.
• Good communication abilities, reading, writing, and speaking, to accurately prepare and report quality control information is required.

The Laboratory Bench person performs the laboratory duties and functions at the factory. This involves running multiple analyses at the same time while monitoring and recording results throughout the process.

Principle accountabilities include but are not limited to:

• Completes the analyses of samples for process control, sugar quality and by-product analyses.
• Accurately reports results to the appropriate personnel.
• Enters lab related data into the computer system.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED certificate is required.
• Must understand how and be able to obtain lab samples from various locations in the factory.
• Good communication abilities, reading, writing, and speaking, to accurately prepare and report quality control information is required.

Physical/Cognitive Requirements:

• Ability to lift and transport up to 50 pounds (greater than 50 pounds requires assistance). Stands for extensive periods, bends, twists and walks through the factory. Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment when required.

Compensation Range:

$24.71 - $24.71 /hr
