Job summary

Aspirus Health is seeking compassionate individuals for Lab Assistant Trainee roles in Woodruff, WI. On-site training is provided to build the skills and confidence needed for success in this healthcare career. No prior phlebotomy or lab experience is required.

You will learn to collect specimens, interact with patients, and support care teams, with opportunities for career growth within the Aspirus Health system.

Qualifications

• Completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Computer experience is beneficial.
• Customer service/telephone communications experience is beneficial.
• Demonstrates a pleasant, congenial, accommodating, and diplomatic personality with strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.
• Current BLS certification may need to be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Learn to collect blood specimens safely and accurately from patients of all ages.
• Interact with patients in a caring, professional manner.
• Prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
• Follow safety and infection control procedures.
• Support patient care teams throughout the organization.
