Onterris in Orange, CA is seeking a Full-Time Laboratory Assistant for the 2:00 pm–10:30 pm shift to support a dynamic lab environment. You will prep and handle samples, maintain accurate records, and keep the lab clean to ensure on-time results and high-quality data.

You will work with a dedicated team, contribute to meaningful scientific work, and grow your expertise in a quality-driven environment, with a strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Competenze

• High School Diploma
• Basic lab techniques (PPE, balance, pipetting, glassware)
• Basic Excel skills required
• Comfortable working with strong acids and solvents
• Excellent communication skills
• Detail oriented

Mansioni

• Perform dishwashing and cleaning; change gas cylinders; housekeeping tasks
• Sample retrieval, storage and archiving; proper sample disposal
• Prepare samples and reagents per SOPs; support tasks as needed
• Conduct lab analyses; maintain accurate data/records; stay current with SOP readings
• Calibrate small equipment like thermometers and balances
• Maintain a safe, organized work area; accurate logbook records; data entry into LIMS
• Inventory of laboratory supplies and chemicals; restock cabinets

A Day in the Life

As a Full-Time Laboratory Assistant based in our Orange, CA Laboratory, you’ll step into the lab where every detail matters. You'll play a key role in prepping and handling samples, keeping records accurate, and maintaining a clean laboratory to support on-time results everyday. You’ll collaborate with a strong team of committed professionals, contribute to meaningful scientific work, and grow your expertise in a dynamic, quality-driven environment.

The compensation range for this role is $20.00 - $22.00, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.

Department: Semi-Volatiles (SVOA)

Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, 2nd Shift (2:00 pm - 10:30 pm)

To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:

• Perform dishwashing and cleaning, change gas cylinders and perform housekeeping tasks that can include routine repetitive motions such as scrubbing, rinsing, drying, and stacking glassware
• Sample retrieval, storage and archiving, and responsible for proper sample disposal.
• Prepare samples and/or reagents according to SOPs and perform support tasks as needed
• Conduct lab analyses as required and adhere to accurate data/record keeping practices; stay current with all SOP readings and any training as assigned
• Perform calibration verification of small laboratory equipment such as thermometers and balances
• Maintain a safe, organized work area and ensure accurate logbook records and accurate data entry into LIMS
• Conduct inventory of laboratory supplies and chemicals and restock laboratory cabinets and storage areas with as needed
• Comply with Quality Assurance Program and other policies
• Comply with company's Health and Safety Plan
• Other duties as assigned by the Group Leader or Lab Director

• High School Diploma
• Basic laboratory techniques (knowledge of PPE, use of balance, pipetting, glassware handling, etc)
• Basic Excel skills required
• Must be comfortable working with strong acids and solvents
• Excellent communication skills required
• Detail oriented

Preferred Skills

• Prior Laboratory experience preferred bot not required
• Knowledge of analytical method, analytical instruments, general lab practices and lab safety
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Good organizational skills and strong communication skills
