Job summary

Industry Lab is a clinical reference laboratory seeking a detail-oriented Lab Assistant to join our West Chester, OH team. The role focuses on specimen processing, requisition entry, and daily lab operations, requiring strong organization and eagerness to learn new techniques.

You will enter patient information in the LIMS, process specimens for testing, and support routine lab activities while maintaining a safe, well-documented workspace. Experience with pipetting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a science-related field.
• Preferred: Previous laboratory experience, particularly with pipetting and specimen processing.
• Ability to enter and verify laboratory requisitions and patient information in LIMS accurately.

Responsibilities

• Enter and verify laboratory requisitions and patient information in the LIMS.
• Receive, organize, and process specimens for diagnostic testing.
• Perform pipetting and other basic laboratory techniques with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Prepare samples, reagents, and supplies for laboratory testing.
• Verify specimen and requisition information for accuracy and resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established laboratory procedures.
• Assist laboratory staff with routine testing preparation and other laboratory activities.
• Maintain proper storage of specimens, reagents, and laboratory supplies.
• Assist with inventory management and restocking laboratory materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
