Job Summary and Qualifications

PURPOSE

Under immediate supervision of the Technical and Assistant Technical Director and/or medical technologist performs CLIA waived testing, processes specimens, performs phlebotomy, clerical duties (i.e. answering telephone calls, filing paperwork and slides, faxing documents) and assisting with inventory of supplies.

JOB RELATIONSHIP

Reports to the Laboratory Technical Director. Involves guidance from the technical and assistant director and medical technologists.

QUALIFICATIONS

Licensure: None

Experience: Experience training as a MLT student preferred.

Three years experience as phlebotomist, drawing neonates, pediatrics, adults and geriatrics. Moderate knowledge of medical terminology, excellent verbal, written and clerical skills.
