Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Laboratory Assistant II at Evanston Hospital. This full-time role offers Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. in Evanston, IL, with hourly pay ranging from $19.31 to $28.00, determined by expertise and experience.

You will triage cytology specimens, process gynecologic and non-gynecologic samples, support specimen send-outs and serve as a technical liaison, while maintaining a clean lab and assisting with inventory and equipment troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Education: College degree preferably in science.

• Process gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimen using various processing and staining techniques.
• Provide customer support as a technical liaison for the cytology laboratory for inquiries.
• Support specimen send outs by completing patient sample requests.
• Maintain a clean laboratory station and work alongside team to manage the inventory, logs, equipment functions, and troubleshoot issues in the laboratory with the supervisor.
• Help troubleshoot equipment issues and specimen receipt issues by working collaboratively with outreach and customer service representatives as well as external departments
