Indiana University Health in Bloomington seeks a Lab Assistant I to provide essential laboratory services, including specimen collection, order entry and pre-analytic processing. The role involves clerical tasks, potential patient registration, and specimen delivery within a high-volume setting.
The position supports a 24/7 operation across our hospitals. Requires HS/GED and phlebotomy training; drivers license and computer skills are advantageous.

SHIFT: Full time, nights (Wednesday 2100-0530, Thursday and Friday 1900-0530, Saturday 1700-0530. Holiday, on call shifts required)

The Lab Assistant I provides general laboratory services including specimen collection, order entry, blood component preparation, pre-analytic processing of specimens as well as related clerical tasks. The incumbent may be responsible for patient and specimen registration and delivery of specimens.
