As the first point of contact within the lab workflow, this position ensures specimens are ready and accurate for processing and testing.
1.0 FTE (80 hours per two-week pay period) 8-hour day shifts Every 3rd weekend rotation
Performs laboratory functions such as waived testing, assisting with standard operating procedure and work flow development, and training of new staff. Supports one or more of the following work areas: laboratory reception/registration, specimen collection (i.e. venipuncture, capillary, cultures, and chain of custody); processing of specimens, and supply ordering.
Light Work: Lifting weight up to 20 lbs. occasionally, up to 10 lbs. frequently
Pay Range: $22.84 to $28.85 per hour The pay described reflects the base hourly pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
