Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Lab Assistant to collect, prepare, and process a variety of patient specimens for diagnostic tests. The role requires attention to detail, ongoing learning, and strong teamwork within a busy lab environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate patient identification, courteous interactions, and efficient workflow. Preference for MLS/Phlebotomy training and WA phlebotomy credentialing readiness.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (through AHA) - CPR, within 90 days.
• Medical Assistant - Phlebotomist: WA within 6 months.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Lab Assistant, you will play a crucial role in solving diagnostic mysteries, bringing us one step closer to effectively treating patient illnesses and injuries.

Every day you will utilize your expertise and our advanced technology to precisely collect, prepare, and process a diverse range of patient specimens (blood, urine, tissue, etc.) for various diagnostic tests.

To be successful in this role, you will possess a foundational understanding of laboratory procedures, demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, and maintain an eager commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
