Work involves operating cage washing and sterilization equipment under supervisor guidance. The position is a 40-hour week with Monday–Friday schedule and occasional weekends/holidays based on operations, located in Weiskotten Hall in New York.

Qualifications

• No minimum education or experience requirements.

Responsibilities

• Handle, treat and observe animals used in research.
• Maintain animal cages and equipment; operate cage washer, tunnel washer, and autoclaves.
• Sanitize corridors and support areas to promote animal health and welfare.
• Monitor environmental parameters and equipment.
• Maintain records by collecting and recording data.
• Administer treatments, euthanize animals, and assist during nonroutine husbandry practices.
