Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc. operates the Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research in Bethesda, MD. This full-time Laboratory Animal Sciences Program (LASP) role supports animal care, housing, and basic data tasks within a NIH campus setting.

Candidates assist with routine husbandry, housekeeping, and safety procedures, with potential weekend/holiday hours and PPE requirements to ensure humane and compliant study support.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent; foreign degrees evaluated for U.S. equivalency
• Two years laboratory animal care experience
• Ability to keep basic records
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and wear PPE as necessary
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Responsabilidades

• Variety of routine tasks associated with the general laboratory animal care in biomedical research
• Feeding and housing laboratory animals
• General laboratory animal housekeeping
• Cleaning tasks associated with the upkeep of a research animal facility
• Ordering and stocking supplies
• Keeping simple records
• Utilizing computer skills for email, training, and basic data entry
• Operating automatic washing and cleaning equipment
