Responsibilities

• Prepares soiled caging for washing.
• Operates washing equipment and ensures proper functioning.
• Operates autoclave to sterilize or decontaminate caging equipment.
• Performs daily quality control checks and documents results.
• Assembles clean cages for distribution.
• Maintains sanitary cage washing areas and surroundings.
• Transports cages and supplies between rooms.
• Provides daily husbandry care: feeding and watering.
• Changes and sanitizes cages as scheduled.
• Maintains enrichment programs and sanitizes rooms.
• Documents daily, weekly and monthly duties.
• Observes animals for changes and reports to veterinary staff.
• Receives and distributes incoming animals; ensures census accuracy.
