Responsibilities

  • Maintain daily logs, track labor productivity, and report progress to the Superintendent.
  • Ensure all materials, tools, and equipment are properly staged and available for work.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to verify quality, safety, and code compliance.
  • Mentor and train crew members on proper procedures, safety standards, and construction best practices.
  • Collaborate with the Superintendent to identify and resolve field issues promptly.

Position summary:

The Foreman is a seasoned leader who is capable of managing larger crews and taking on complex projects with confidence and efficiency. The Foreman plays a key role in mentoring and training SubForemen and tradespeople, helping to develop the next generation of leaders. They are fully self-sufficient in handling administrative duties such as documentation, labor plans, equipment management, and interpreting plans. This role represents a critical progression in the leadership track, demonstrating both advanced field expertise and a commitment to team development.

Expected Outcomes:
  • Assigned projects completed on time, safely, and with exceptional quality
  • Assigned projects are completed according to the contract documents and at a profit
  • Clients are satisfied with project results
Position responsibilities:

Physical Requirements:

The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl for extended periods on active construction sites
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and tools weighing up to 50–75 pounds, with or without assistance
  • A bility to climb ladders, scaffolding, and stairs, and work at heights
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, wind, and dust
  • Ability to use hands and arms continuously for handling, positioning, and operating tools and equipment
  • Ability to operate power and hand tools safely and repeatedly
  • Ability to visually inspect work, read plans, and identify hazards (with or without corrective lenses)
  • Ability to hear and communicate effectively in noisy environments (with or without hearing protection)
  • A bility to work full shifts, including early mornings, extended hours, or overtime as required by the project
  • Ability to move throughout the jobsite to supervise work, address issues, and ensure safety compliance
