Qualifications

• 2-4 years of employment law experience on the defense/management side.
• JD from an accredited law school; California Bar active.
• Strong litigation, including motions and court appearances.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong research and brief-writing.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in labor and employment matters.
• Provide employment law counseling to management and corporate clients.
• Handle employment litigation from development to resolution.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests, motions, briefs, and other documents.
• Participate in motion practice and court appearances.
• Take and defend depositions as appropriate.
• Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive briefs and memoranda.
• Analyze employment issues and provide practical recommendations to clients.
• Manage multiple matters with deadlines while maintaining quality work.
• Collaborate with shareholders and senior attorneys on complex matters.
• Communicate with clients and participate in client-facing activities.
• Support business development for the Labor & Employment practice.
• Maintain organization and time-management; handle competing priorities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members.
