Job summary

Qualifications

• Vocational/Technical Degree in Accredited Surgical Technology Program is required.
• 0–1 year Surgical technologist experience preferred.
• Certified Surgical Technologists (CST) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications are required or preferred as listed.

Responsibilities

• The CST will prepare and assist with surgical procedures in collaboration with Registered Nurse.
• Pull cases according to doctor preference cards.
• Maintain and prepare sterile field.
• Maintain knowledge of surgical procedures.
• Anticipate needs of surgeon.
• Assist surgeon by passing instruments, sutures, etc.
