Job summary

Qualifications

• Accredited nursing program is required.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications as specified in the credential grid.
• RN license must be current and in good standing with the State of Florida.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in a designated specialty unit according to scope and practice.
• Educates patients and families suitable to age, culture, and condition.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care and disposition.
• Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel.
• May precept student nurses and new hires.
• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on assessment to optimize outcomes.
• Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
