Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUHA) seeks a Registered Nurse II to provide individualized, goal-directed patient care at the competent level. Under general supervision, you will deliver safe care and collaborate with the health care team to achieve outcomes.

The role requires an Associate's Degree in Nursing, SC RN license (or compact state), BLS, ACLS, and NRP. Hours vary; PRN position with 24–48 hour weekly schedules and 12-hour shifts are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum Training and Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients.
• Interact with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results.
• Follow nursing process to deliver safe and effective care.
