Job summary

MercyOne in Silvis, IL is seeking a part-time, per diem Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery to provide safe, compassionate care for mothers and newborns in a fast-paced unit.

Responsibilities include initial assessments within 30 minutes of admission, developing outcome-based care plans, coordinating with the care team, and supporting discharge planning, with 12-hour shifts, day and night options, and a weekend package that adds $7.50 per hour plus a quarterly bonus.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse in Illinois or Iowa with license reciprocity.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in labor and delivery is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessment within 30 minutes of admission.
• Develop outcome-based care plans incorporating obstetric history.
• Coordinate care with physicians, LPNs, and other team members.
• Assist in discharge planning and newborn care resources.
• Document thoroughly and communicate throughout shifts.
