Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients appropriately based on their medical condition.
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Provide care appropriate to the patient's condition and age, including basic self-care.
• Formulate and evaluate teaching plans with family involvement.
• Demonstrate ability to use nursing knowledge for treatments and services.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to provide patient care.
• Assist physicians with procedures and perform required skills.
• Identify and address psychosocial needs of patients and families; coordinate post-discharge needs.
• Promote cost-effective practices and prudent use of supplies.
• Prioritize patient care effectively and efficiently.
• Promote patient safety and reduce harm in health care.
• Pursue lifelong learning in nursing.
