Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery. The role involves delivering patient care using the nursing process, coordinating with departments, and ensuring patient rights and confidentiality are upheld.

Qualifications include an RN license, nursing degree, and relevant certifications (ACLS/PALS/PEARS/STABLE/BLS). Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs and prolonged standing; LPN-IV or equivalent course may be required

Qualifications

• Education: RN degree from a school of nursing (AD, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Active RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure.
• Certifications: ACLS, PALS, PEARS, STABLE, BLS or equivalent as required.
• Physical: Ability to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.
• LPN-IV certification must be completed or started within 3 months if required.
• Other unit-specific certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other hospital departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of information.
