Job summary

St. Luke’s Meridian Hospital’s Labor & Delivery unit delivers comprehensive obstetric care with a focus on patient-centered outcomes.

RN staff provide skilled care across labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery, supported by ongoing education and certification opportunities. The unit emphasizes teamwork, evidence-based practice, and adherence to AWHONN staffing standards in a 10-bed labor and 10-bed postpartum setting, with about 125 births per month.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required in practice state
• 1+ years of RN experience; L&D preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or Red Cross

Responsibilities

• Night shift: 7:00 pm–7:30 am (Full Time and Part Time nights)
• Adhere to staffing ratios and patient safety standards
• Provide obstetric nursing care for labor, delivery and postpartum patients
• Participate in ongoing education and certification opportunities
