Job summary

Intermountain Health Layton Hospital in Layton, Utah, is hiring a Registered Nurse for a 36-hour-per-week, full-time labor and delivery unit. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within an evidence-based practice framework and collaboratively with the health team.

Shifts are variable, including weekends and holidays. Candidates should have a BSN or be willing to obtain one, current RN license, BLS, and prefer 1 year of L&D experience; NCC certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice; compact licenses must transfer within 60 days of start.
• BSN required or willing to obtain within hire date.
• BLS for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Assess: conducts comprehensive assessments and gathers information from patient, family, and interdisciplinary team.
• Plan: develops individualized care plan with patient and family involvement.
• Implement: coordinates care and delegates tasks to the care team.
• Evaluate: monitors progress and revises care plan as needed.
• Professionalism: adheres to ethical and legal standards and maintains thorough documentation.
