Job summary

Nursefinders Staffing Division is seeking experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurses for per diem shifts in Washington. The role offers 12‑hour day or night options and a focus on safe, patient‑centered obstetric care.

You will provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing, monitor maternal/fetal status, and assist with deliveries, while collaborating with obstetric teams to support families through labor and postpartum recovery.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience.
• BLS certification required.
• NRP and ACLS preferred.
• Strong fetal monitoring interpretation and maternal assessment skills.
• Ability to remain calm and decisive in high‑acuity situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients throughout all stages of labor.
• Monitor maternal and fetal status using continuous fetal monitoring and clinical assessment.
• Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including emergency situations.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and labor‑related treatments per provider orders.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Support patients and families through labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery.
• Identify and respond rapidly to maternal or fetal complications.
• Educate patients on labor progression, pain management options, and postpartum expectations.
• Maintain patient safety, infection control, and unit protocols.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record.

  • 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Days)
  • 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Nights)

What You’ll Do
