Job summary

Proforma Health Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor and Delivery to provide direct patient care through pre-pregnancy, labor, delivery and recovery.

The role requires collaboration with NICU, OR, ED and Couplet Care teams, interpretation of fetal monitoring, and leadership in supervising care. A strong emphasis on patient safety and communication is essential in a high-acuity unit.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year Labor & Delivery experience and 1 year in NICU, postpartum, antepartum, ICU, OR, or ED.
• Nursing degree from an accredited school and active RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP (or within orientation) and fetal monitoring certification (within 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with NICU, OR, ED, and Couplet Care teams.
• Interpret fetal monitoring data and oversee labor progression.
• Act as a clinical leader by supervising and delegating care.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort and clear communication.
• Participate in hourly rounding.
• Potentially serve as charge nurse or OB triage based on experience.
