Job summary

Mercy Gilbert Medical Center is seeking a Labor & Delivery Nurse to guide mothers and families through labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period with safety and compassion. You will join a multidisciplinary team in our new Women’s and Children’s Pavilion, supporting excellence in maternal and newborn care.

Triage, fetal monitoring, induction support, epidural care, OR circulation for cesarean sections, newborn stabilization, and family education are daily duties.

Qualifications

• RN license in Arizona (or ability to obtain).
• ACLS, BLS, NRP certifications required or in 6 months.
• Experience in labor and delivery preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Triage walk-in patients to determine labor status.
• Monitor fetus and manage labor interventions.
• Assist in C-sections and other OR procedures.
• Educate patients on medications and stages of labor.
• Stabilize newborns and coordinate with multidisciplinary team.
