Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a Laboratory research assistant to support the Labor & Delivery research team.

Under the direction of the Research Nurse and PI, you will review medical records, screen for eligibility, recruit participants, obtain consent, and document study data while assisting with specimen collection and processing. Schedule includes three 12-hour shifts on Labor & Delivery and an additional 4-hour shift, with on-call every other Sunday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support certification within one month of hire date.
• 2 years of administrative or research experience.
• Driver's license not required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Participates in recruitment of study participants identified in protocol and screens for eligibility.
• Obtains informed consent and completes necessary paperwork according to protocol.
• Collects data from study participants, medical records, interviews, and questionnaires; prepares reports as needed.
• Assists with the collection and processing of biological specimens and schedules follow-ups as needed.
