Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior Labor Compliance Specialist who can work remotely or join our San Diego, CA office. You will lead the labor compliance program across our nationwide solar and energy storage projects.

You will manage audits, monitor regulations, coordinate training, and collaborate with Operations and other departments to ensure lawful, safe project execution.

Qualifications

• Seven years of labor compliance experience in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with government audits and compliance investigations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the labor compliance group across the company.
• Oversee Corporate Labor Compliance Program administration and updates.
• Coordinate periodic internal audits of labor compliance procedures.
• Monitor evolving laws and regulatory trends impacting labor compliance.
• Investigate identified compliance issues with leadership and other departments.
• Participate in third-party and government reviews, audits, inquiries.
• Develop and deliver training on labor compliance.
• Attend external training and industry organizations to stay current.

Position Responsibilities and Duties

• All Senior Labor Compliance Specialist responsibilities.
• Manage labor compliance group, which oversees labor compliance across the company. Working in conjunction with appropriate people from Operations and other SI Departments, oversee, administer and update the Corporate Labor Compliance Program.
• Coordinate and perform periodic internal audits of labor compliance procedures.
• Monitor and stay abreast of applicable laws and regulations that might affect labor compliance policies and procedures. Identify and share best control practices, including software, as it relates to labor compliance, and advise on needed changes to be implemented in such.
• Manage the investigation of identified or reported compliance issues, working in conjunction with business leadership, and appropriate SI departments, determine appropriate action.
• Participate in third party/Government reviews, audits and inquiries, working in conjunction with the appropriate departments and outside resources.
• Identify, develop and participate in needed training on labor compliance efforts.
• Attend external training and actively participate in industry related compliance organizations to ensure Company is aware of and prepared for current trends/issues associated with the labor compliance areas.

Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements

• Seven years experience in the labor compliance in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of the laws surrounding labor.
• Familiarity with construction industry contract types and language, particularly as it relates to areas relevant to labor compliance.
• Ability to comprehend Government and other regulations and determine proper applicability to Company’s business.
• Current on industry issues related to labor compliance, and as they apply to the Industry.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
