Job summary

AdventHealth Celebration in Florida is seeking a Travel RN to join our StaffFlex program on a night shift. This flexible contract RN role supports multiple units across AdventHealth facilities, with 36 hours per week and opportunities to convert to permanent staff.

Responsibilities include delivering evidence-based nursing care, administering medications, monitoring patients, and assisting physicians. Must hold an RN license in Florida and have 2+ years in labor and delivery.

Qualifications

• Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes.
• Basic computer skills – must be able to navigate Microsoft windows based programs.
• Must be fluent in English (read, verbal and written skills)

Responsibilities

• Provides education to patients and families from admission to discharge, covering medical and nursing care plans, medications, tests, procedures, disease processes, and discharge instructions.
• Delivers competent, compassionate care to patients in pain according to policy and maintains a safe care environment.
• Administers medications accurately as ordered. Responds to unit and hospital code situations.
• Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients requiring oxygen support.
• Assists physicians with bedside procedures.
• Manages patient admissions, transfers, and discharges professionally.
• Verifies and signs off physician orders and obtains lab specimens as ordered.
• Evaluates the nursing care plan to ensure safe, competent care delivery.
• Other duties as assigned.

Details:

• Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) [Required]
