Job summary

Avery Dennison Vestcom in Dallas is seeking a mechanically inclined Machine Operator to run advanced labeling equipment and meet daily production goals. You will be responsible for operating machinery, maintaining logs, and contributing to a zero-defect culture.

You will monitor equipment, troubleshoot issues, log materials in the ERP system, and collaborate with the team to maintain a safe, efficient production line.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1–2 years of related manufacturing or machine operation experience.
  • Strong mechanical skills and the ability to analyze equipment performance.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for the duration of a shift.
  • Color vision proficiency to distinguish product variations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate label machines efficiently to meet daily production deadlines while minimizing material waste.
  • Use mechanical aptitude to monitor equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and identify root causes rather than fixes.

We are looking for a mechanically inclined “Technical Pilot” who is accountable, curious about how equipment functions, and thrives in a performance-driven environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Performance & Accuracy: Operate label machines efficiently to meet daily production deadlines while minimizing material waste.
  • Technical Ownership: Use your mechanical aptitude to monitor equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and identify root causes rather than "band-aid" fixes.
  • Data & Quality: Maintain accurate logs of raw materials using our ERP system and ensure a "zero-defect" mindset through close attention to detail.
