Job summary

NW Staffing is seeking a hands-on label production operator in Lake Oswego, OR to join a safe, process-driven team. You will set up and operate slitter/rewinder equipment, inspect rolls for defects, and prepare products for shipment.

Requirements include at least one year in printing or manufacturing and ability to read job tickets. The role offers a steady schedule (Mon-Thu, 3:00 PM–1:30 AM) and competitive hourly pay of $20–$22.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in printing, manufacturing, converting, or a similar production environment.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify product defects and follow exact specifications.
• Ability to read job tickets and follow production instructions for quantities, packaging, and finished-product requirements.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working around production equipment.
• Experience with slitting, rewinding, inspection, flexographic printing, or pressure-sensitive labels is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate slitter/rewinder equipment according to job tickets and production specifications.
• Inspect finished label rolls for print defects, alignment, die-cut quality, material issues, and other inconsistencies.
• Slit, rewind, and prepare label rolls to the correct size, roll direction, core size, quantity, and packaging requirements.
• Remove defective material, identify quality concerns, and communicate production issues to the appropriate team members.
• Label, package, and stage completed product for the next production step or shipment.
• Complete production records and material-tracking documentation accurately.
• Perform routine equipment checks, assist with basic troubleshooting, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
