Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Reference Test Clerk to join our Birmingham, AL team. The role runs Tuesday–Saturday, 3:00am–11:30am, with rotating weekends, supporting specimen processing and testing in a fast-paced lab.

Responsibilities include preparing specimens, resolving issues, and handling test requests, while maintaining accuracy and safety. Minimum HS diploma; exam preference for 3 months of specimen handling and laboratory experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 months or more of specimen processing experience preferred.
• 3 months or more of medical or laboratory experience preferred.

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems.
• Send test requests to proper location and release test results.
• Assist clients with specimen related requests or inquiries.
• Process specimens to be sent out to additional facilities.
• Provide support to various areas of the laboratory.
• Perform sample sorting, racking and retrieving.
• Prepare record logs in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Labcorp is seeking a Reference Test Clerk to join our team in Birmingham, AL .

Work Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday 3:00am – 11:30am (rotating weekends).

Job Responsibilities

• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
